Paprika is a spice made from dried and ground red peppers. It is traditionally made from Capsicum annuum varietals.
It can be found in lots of savoury snacks mainly as a flavouring and is commonly used along side garlic and onion pounder.
Surprisingly the only crisps I have come across that don't contain paprika are salt and vinegar or ready salted.
I am always trying out new flavours so have a keen eye on the ingredients as to how they have come up with such flavours.
It is common for savoury snacks to contain some form of spice to enhance the flavour, and with paprika being very mild it makes a very palatable addition.
